Akhilesh Bajaj
Dr. Akhilesh Bajaj is Chapman Associate Professor of MIS, at the University of Tulsa. He received a B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1989, an MBA from Cornell University in 1991, and a Ph.D. in MIS (minor in Computer Science) from the University of Arizona in 1997. Dr. Bajaj's research deals with the construction and testing of tools and methodologies that facilitate the construction of large organizational systems, as well as studying the decision models of the actual consumers of these information systems. He has published articles in several academic journals such as Management Science, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Systems, Journal of the Association of Information Systems and the Journal of Database Management. He is on the editorial board of several journals in the MIS area. His research has been funded by the department of defense (DOD). He teaches graduate courses on basic and advanced database systems, management of information systems, and enterprise wide systems. He is the President of AIS SIGSAND from 2006-2008.
Doyle C. Bishop
Doyle Bishop is President and Chief Operating Officer of Callidus Technologies, L.L.C.  He joined Callidus in 1991 and has been an integral part of the Company’s rapid growth as well as its technology leading position in the marketplace.  Mr. Bishop has served in multiple capacities within the Callidus organization including technology, sales and operations.  He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Callidus is a major designer and supplier of combustion equipment/systems to the refining and petrochemical industries worldwide.

Indian Consul General S.M. Gavai
Consul General S.M. Gavai graduated from Fergusson College, Pune with a  B.A. (Hons.) degree in history.  He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1975. He has served in various capacities in India’s Diplomatic Missions in Yugoslavia, Hungary, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Germany, Scotland where he was Consul General of India and in Maldives where he was High Commissioner (Ambassador) of India. During his tenure in the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, he has headed the SAARC Division, Northern Division & Administration Division and has been India’s Chief of Protocol.

 


Murali Iyengar
Dr. Murali Iyengar is an organizational change management consultant who combines advanced training in business strategy and technology expertise to lead strategic change.  His experience includes high-impact enterprise projects: ERP implementation, business process redesign, cost reduction, and outsourcing. He is a subject matter expert in ERP implementation methodologies, procure-to-pay and order-to-cash best practices, and supply chain operational modeling. Excels in engagements that demand a results-oriented dynamic leader with a unique blend of hard and soft skills to win and retain trust at all levels of the organization
.  He started his consulting career in New York, working with Bank of New York, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Unisys, and more.  He is currently a project manager for ConocoPhillips.  His undergraduate degree in economics is from the University of Madras in India.  He has a masters degree in economics from University of Kanpur in India and a PhD in economics from the University of Michigan.

Subhash Kak
Dr. Subhash Kak, a native of Srinagar, Kashmir, is currently Head of Computer Science Department at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.  He received his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology.  Dr. Kak was previously the Delaune Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering at Louisiana State University and has received numerous awards including the Science Academy Medal of the INSA (1977), Kothari Prize (1977), Halliburton Award (1982), UNESCO Tokten Award (1986), National Fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (2001), and the Distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT Delhi (2002). Dr. Kak has authored 17 books and more than 300 journal articles in various areas of science (quantum physics, information theory, neural networks), and Indian studies (astronomy and mathematics, literary history, art, and music). His research ranges from fundamental physics to neural networks, and applications to signal processing and artificial intelligence. Dr. Kak has also worked on the history of Indian science and culture.

Kushagra Katariya
Dr. Kushagra Katariya is CEO of Artemis Health Sciences in India, and is a well known cardiothoracic surgeon.  A graduate of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, he has worked at Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine New York, Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida and until recently was Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Miami.  An author of numerous books, monographs and journals, Dr. Katariya been involved in a variety of research projects and has been invited to speak at a number of medical conferences around the world.  Artemis Health Sciences aims to define and deliver cutting edge healthcare in India by integrating healthcare delivery with research and development, medical education and manufacture of medical devices and equipment.


Marcia MacLeod
Marcia MacLeod is vice president of Business Process Outsourcing at Williams.  As vice president, she is responsible for the management of the $320 million Williams-IBM BPO relationship encompassing significant portions of Information Technology, Finance and Accounting and Human Resources.  Joining Williams in 2000, Ms. MacLeod previously served as vice president of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS.  Prior to joining Williams, Ms. MacLeod was managing director of global compensation and benefits for Electronic Data Systems (EDS), serving the company’s 125,000 employees in the United States and 42 countries.  She holds a juris doctorate and a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Tulsa and is licensed to practice law in Texas and Colorado.

 


Anil K. Maini

Anil K. Maini is President-Corporate Development for Apollo Hospitals Group and is based at Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He is an MBA in Marketing from JBIMS, Mumbai with over 30 years work experience, in the fields of healthcare and consumer marketing.
His key areas of focus include market assessment; customer segmentation & competitive positioning; strategic marketing planning & brand development; product development; and marketing communications amongst other areas. Anil's current assignment as Apollo Hospitals Group corporate development head includes marketing (national & international), Business Development, Medical Travel and identifying new markets and new ventures in India and overseas. During his tenure he has taken Apollo Hospitals to new International markets like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Africa, Canada, UK and USA besides launching new programs in India.


Dayal T. Meshri

Dr. Dayal T. Meshri is the President/CEO of Advance Research Chemicals, Inc. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho and did postdoctoral work at Cornell University.  He then joined Ozark-Mahoning Co., Pennwalt Corp., as Head of Research and Research Director.   In 1987 Dr. Meshri started Advance Research Chemicals,  Inc. “ARC” which has become one of the largest Inorganic Fluoride Specialty Chemical Producers in the world.  ARC makes over 300 chemicals and also caters to a variety of industries, such as automobile, electronic, semiconductor, plastic, uv-curing, high-energy lithium batteries, and pharmaceutical industries.  In addition to the US facilities, ARC has plants in Monterrey, Mexico and research and production facilities in both Mumbai and Hyderabad, India.

 


Kalpana Misra
Dr. Kalpana Misra is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean of the Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Misra received her PhD from the University of Michigan.  Dr. Misra is the author of From Post-Maoism to Post-Marxism: the Erosion of Official Ideology in Deng’s China (Routledge 1998), co-author of Advanced Political Theory (S.Chand, 1987), and co-editor of Jewish Feminism in Israel, (Brandeis/UPNE, 2003). Her articles have appeared in Asian Survey, Strategic Analysis, Economic and Political Weekly, China Report, Women in Politics, the Journal of Comparative Asian Development and Contemporary South Asia. Her current research interests are Chinese Politics, International Relations, and Women’s Movements in India, China, and the Middle East.  In 1998, Dr. Misra received The Oklahoma Political Science Association, “Scholar of the Year” award.  In 2003, she received the University of Tulsa “Outstanding Teacher” award.


Barb Osteen
Barb Osteen currently leads Deloitte’s Application Service Center in Tulsa.  The center provides remote implementation and application support services for major Enterprise Resource Planning packages such as SAP and Oracle.  The Tulsa Center is also responsible for the software development and maintenance of revenue cycle tools serving healthcare providers.  The diverse client base includes aerospace and defense, utilities, federal government, healthcare, consumer products and food and beverage industries.  The Tulsa center partners with Deloitte’s global centers in providing client service.  Deloitte’s center in Hyderabad, India is also focused on ERP implementation and works with the Tulsa center on a variety of projects.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Ms Osteen was the Director of Mid-Range Coverage and Operations for Sabre, Inc.  She has a bachelor of business degree from OSU, an MBA from TU and Executive MBA from SMU.

 


Shalendra D. Sharma
Dr. Shalendra Sharma is professor in the Department of Politics at the University of San Francisco, where he has served since 1993. He also teaches in the MA program in the Department of Economics. A prize winning author, Dr. Sharma's most recent book is Achieving Economic Development in the Era of Globalization. His previous books include Democracy and Development in India (1999), which won the Choice Outstanding Academic Title for 1999, and The Asian Financial Crisis: Meltdown, Reform and Recovery (2003). He previously served as editor of Asia in the New Millennium: Geopolitics, Security and Foreign Policy and has published more than four dozen articles in leading academic journals. His most recent article is "Can Massive Foreign Aid Eliminate Extreme Poverty?" (2007) Dr. Sharma also serves as a consultant to the World Bank. He was the recipient of USF's University-wide Distinguished Teaching Award 1996/1997 and the University-wide Distinguished Research Award for 2002/2003. During the 2006-2007 academic year, he was a Visiting Professor in the Department Politieke Wetenschap, Faculteit der Sociale Wetenschappen, Universiteit Leiden, the Netherlands.


 

Dr. Roger Blais
Dr. Roger Blais joined The University of Tulsa as a member of the Physics Faculty in 1977. Before his appointment as provost and vice president for academic affairs in March 1999, he served as the university's vice provost, 1989-92; acting provost, 1990-91; and interim provost, 1998-99. A native Minnesotan, Dr. Blais received his bachelor's degree in physics and French literature from the University of Minnesota in 1966 and earned a Ph.D. degree in experimental physics from the University of Oklahoma in 1971. He served on the faculty of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, prior to coming to Tulsa. In 1983 he co-founded TU's Artificial Lift Projects, an industrially funded petroleum production research consortium. Dr. Blais is a Fellow of the Instrument Society of America and a past president of the TU chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. He has been active scouting. He is a member of Leadership Oklahoma Class XVI. He recently served as Vice President for Automation and Technology of ISA. He serves on the boards of the Oklahoma Academy, Light Opera Oklahoma and Hillcrest Specialty Hospitals.


Peter Budetti
Dr. Budetti earned his medical degree from Columbia University, and a law degree from Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he was elected to the National Academy of Social Insurance in 1966. Dr. Budetti is the Edward E. and Helen T. Bartlett Foundation Professor of Public Health and Chair, Department of Health Administration and Policy, College of Public Health, University of Oklahoma. Dr. Budetti previously held tenured professorships and founded and directed health policy research centers at Northwestern University and The George Washington University.



Anil Kaul
Dr. Anil Kaul graduated in medicine from the Madras Medical College, in dentistry from the King George's Medical College, Lucknow and received Master's in Public Health Administration from the University of Minnesota. After his fellowship in the department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston Texas, he joined University of Minnesota as a faculty member and director of Women's health research. Dr. Kaul is currently a visiting faculty at Oklahoma State University and an adjunct faculty in Health Administration and Policy at University of Oklahoma. He has published and made more than 100 scientific presentations at national and international scientific meetings; holds multiple patents, particularly in the area of early detection of preterm births. At present, he is the Director - Asia-Pacific region for the International - Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetricians & Gynecologists and serves on
the advisory board of the American Institute for Medical Technology and Tulsa Community College biotechnology advisory board. Dr. Kaul serves as the President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma and is the founder director of the South Asia Performing Arts Foundation.


Michael Lapolla
Mr. Lapolla is a graduate of West Point and holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. Mike has been a clinics administrator with the University of Oklahoma for 11 years prior to beginning a 20-year career as a health policy researcher at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. He rejoined the University of Oklahoma four years ago and serves in an advisory capacity to the College of Medicine and the president of the University of Oklahoma -Tulsa.




Sam Naifeh
Sam Naifeh is President/Sales and Marketing of Yuba Heat Transfer, LLC. He is responsible for all domestic and international sales. Sam earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1967. He has overcome the culture barriers by listening first to the customer and then communicating to them. He is a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is happy and proud to call Tulsa his home.

Hema Kumar
Hema Kumar is founding member and President of the South Asian Performing Arts Foundation. She is also Director of the Sanskriti School of Dance here in Tulsa.

Raj Basu
Dr. Basu is the Vice-President for Academic Affairs for Oklahoma State University, Tulsa. He researches and teaches in the areas of leadership, employee performance, team building, and change management. He also consults with organizations in the aerospace, energy, financial services, technology, government, and non-profit sectors. Dr. Basu's research has been published in the Journal of Engineering & Technology Management, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Employee Assistant Research, R&D Innovator, International Journal of Stress Management, to name a few. Dr. Basu is a member of the Academy of Management and the Southern Management Association. Dr. Basu received his MBA from Duke University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University.

John Rutter
John Rutter has been an IBM Executive since 2005, and is currently Leader of IBM's Finance and Accounting Outsourcing Business in the Americas. John works directly with both existing and potential customers designing and delivering solutions to improve performance of their finance functions. Prior to joining IBM, John spent 3 years with PwC and 20+ years in various financial roles with BP and Amoco. John has a Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.

Rita K. Sheth
Rita K. Sheth graduated from the University of Baroda, Baroda, India with a B.S. in Accounting and received her MBA in Finance from the University of Tulsa. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Oklahoma. Rita Sheth, MBA, CPA, PLLC is a small-sized public accounting firm which handles the needs of individuals and small businesses. The company currently serves clients in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, California, Florida, Michigan and Illinois.

Jane Perkins
Jane Perkins is President of VPM Trading Co. She was Vice-President of an export/import company in Orange County, California before staring VPM in 1989. Mrs. Perkins is a founding board member of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma (IACCO) and Past President/Past Executive Director of the organization. She is a founding Board Member and has remained a Board Member of the Indo-American Alliance of Chambers. Mrs. Perkins was the Leader of the Oklahoma Chamber in the Trade Delegation to India in November of 2005.
